The shift to remote work took many by surprise nearly two and a half years ago. Now, however, its the norm and many don't want to go back to the in-person setting. As pandemic waves have slowed, many organizations have created deadlines for in-person work to return, or at the least, offered a hybrid model to their people. Many argue that in-person work is key and provides a sense of belonging within an organization, but data is showing that workers prefer coming into the office just once a week. With the fear of a recession looming overhead, it has many wondering if the market will enforce return-to-office policies. So, is remote work here to stay or will more and more employees have to start making their way into the office full time again?
