Unfortunately, at this point, we are used to the idea of new strains presented by COVID with omicron being the most recent of the variants. While omicron has been presenting itself with milder symptoms, it's power extends beyond the individual it infects. In the beginning of the pandemic, many organizations were quick to jump to remote work in order to protect their staff and clientele, but since then they have begun configuring return-to-work plans. Now, many have postponed their plans multiple times and they may need to consider that the solution could be staying remote permanently. What does this mean for employers who have budgeted for these return-to-work plans?
