New Roles Added to Ensure Seamless Transitions of Former IH Clients to CHC Services

July 10, 2020 - Chicago - In response to rapidly increasing demand for its wellbeing services, CHC Wellbeing announced it has made several strategic hires from Interactive Health (IH) to bolster its operations and client services teams. These new CHC colleagues have been tasked with seamless onboarding of IH clients and partners. CHC is working with an exponentially growing number of former IH accounts after IH’s recent bankruptcy announcement.

As the first strategic hire, Joan Harwell has been tapped as senior director of transition. She will be working alongside CHC’s current operations, implementation and account management teams to design and execute transition plans for former IH clients. Harwell spent more than 12 years with IH, most recently as the senior director of event management operations, overseeing a nationwide team of wellness event managers and support staff.

“There are striking similarities between CHC and IH in terms of wellness philosophy, products and approach,” said Harwell. “CHC is clearly the best fit for me and for the clients I’ve been serving. I have worked hard to support our employer, broker, TPA and other partners while at IH, so I was excited to find a new home where I can continue to provide value to those groups and help them through this uncertain time.”

MaryEllen Zambrana has joined CHC as regional sales director for the Mid-Atlantic region. She previously worked with IH for more than a decade, most recently as a regional sales leader. Prior to her sales role, Zambrana designed and oversaw wellness programs at Johns Hopkins.

Also joining the CHC team are Brittany Wassarman and Cheryl Durante, who will each be directly engaging with clients as account managers. Wassarman has worked with a variety of employers to develop winning wellness strategies over the past three years at IH, while Durante has focused on supporting strategic accounts such as Rush University Medical Center.

“I am pleased that we focused on hiring operations leadership and client service resources from IH. Their deep understanding of Interactive Health’s operations will ensure that we give former IH clients the support they deserve and provide peace of mind during their transition to our organization. In addition, they bring incredible experience in the wellness space, and individually they are well respected in the field.” “When the dust settles from the IH closure, CHC will have grown multi-fold in size as an organization,” said Ramki Ramanarayanan, CEO of CHC Wellbeing.
