One night, nearly 20 years ago and without a true plan, our founder, Dr. Patrick Angelo, found himself driving into the city with a mission to help the unhoused community. When taking a random left turn, he found himself on Lower Wacker Drive, ready to hand out a car full of supplies for those in need. Fast forward to today. The Angel of Lower Wacker Drive Fund, a 501(c)3, was created and currently has a Chief Giving Officer and over 30 volunteers who serve the unhoused community all throughout the Chicagoland area, 7 nights a week. As a successful business owner, he has developed a plan to take the profits from his organization to continue funding the efforts he started 20 years ago. He has even expanded his efforts to create a mentorship program to help address the root causes of homelessness and support youth throughout the city.
