Angel of Lower Wacker was founded by Dr. Patrick Angelo, whose mission is to serve the unhoused community throughout the Chicagoland area. Through the kind hearts of volunteers and various partnerships, the charity provides food, water, clothing, toiletries, showers, tents and numerous other resources to help our friends in need. Dr. Angelo and Residents

One night, nearly 20 years ago and without a true plan, our founder, Dr. Patrick Angelo, found himself driving into the city with a mission to help the unhoused community. When taking a random left turn, he found himself on Lower Wacker Drive, ready to hand out a car full of supplies for those in need. Fast forward to today. The Angel of Lower Wacker Drive Fund, a 501(c)3, was created and currently has a Chief Giving Officer and over 30 volunteers who serve the unhoused community all throughout the Chicagoland area, 7 nights a week. As a successful business owner, he has developed a plan to take the profits from his organization to continue funding the efforts he started 20 years ago. He has even expanded his efforts to create a mentorship program to help address the root causes of homelessness and support youth throughout the city.
