Angel of Lower Wacker was founded by Dr. Patrick Angelo, whose mission is to serve the unhoused community throughout the Chicagoland area. Through the kind hearts of volunteers and various partnerships, the charity provides food, water, clothing, toiletries, showers, tents and numerous other resources to help our friends in need. Bringing Showers to Those in Need

Posted July 14, 2021 by CHC Wellbeing.

Angel of Wacker Drive_250X250This week on Lower Wacker Drive, our friends have finally started to be placed in permanent housing. This is a huge victory, not only for our friends being housed, but also for those of us who work each and every week in and around Lower Wacker. We are excited to celebrate with our friends and will continue to support them as they embark on this new journey.

We have partnered with an organization that supplies mobile showers. This will provide our friends with the opportunity to clean up during the hot summer months. Additionally, we are hoping to have our own mobile shower in the near future so we may continue to offer this service.

The Angel of Lower Wacker Drive Fund will continue to partner with different organizations/individuals as we begin to prepare for the demanding winter months ahead. We hope to reach even more people this winter and utilize all possible resources. Our mission is always to serve those most vulnerable - in the most vulnerable circumstances.

We will also start to implement mental health services through partnered providers. This has become a huge need and we hope to make this a weekly component to our service teams. This will enable us to become more proficient in our offerings and help address a mental health crisis that has long been overlooked.
