Sleep is crucial to our wellbeing. It plays a large role in our cardiovascular, metabolic, immune, cognitive, mental and behavioral health. According to a report by Gallup and Casper, approximately 84 million American adults struggle with sleep. Stress at work may be one contributor to this struggle, creating a cycle of unproductivity, trouble with decision making and an increase in worker accidents. In fact, the Casper-Gallup report states that workers who typically experience poor sleep report 2.29 days of unplanned absenteeism each month. This costs the U.S. economy $44.6 billion each year.
