While it may seem like the worst of the pandemic is over, the effects from the past two years are lasting. Studies are showing that 40% of the U.S. adult population may be experiencing harmful mental health impacts as a result of the pandemic. Moreover, 26% of this population are showing clinical symptoms of a trauma-related disorder. Nearly 70% of employers say they plan on starting, continuing or growing their mental health benefits, but this alone will not fix the problem. Understanding that employees values, perspectives, and feelings may have shifted and that their attitude isn't necessarily a lack of competence, is one of the key steps in promoting employee wellbeing.
