For awhile, there seemed to be a generational divide among baby boomers and Gen Z. Remote work, however, seems to be something they both can agree on. According to an IWG survey, 53% of millennials said they would look for a new position if their employers asked them to return to in-person work. 33% of boomers and 40% of Gen-Zers agree with that statement. Some even say a raise would be needed to get them back into the office. This survey also found that remote work is positively correlated with employee wellness. In fact, boomers, millennials and Gen-Xers, all ranked the connection between remote work and employee wellness pretty high (75%). Additionally, work-life balance has been the talk for the last few years as the line between the two has blended, however, remote work seems to be aiding in the balance. With the comfort of working from your own home to eliminating a commute, remote work seems to be checking a lot of boxes. So, will this be the way of the future or will we continue to see the push for in-person work?
