Employee Health: How 4-Day Workweeks Can Improve Wellbeing and Boost Productivity

More and more studies are coming out showing how the 4-day workweek could prove to be beneficial for both employees and employers alike. In fact, according one study conducted by Cambridge University and Boston University found that sick days were cut by 65% and turnover was reduced by 57%. Additionally, a study based out of the UK, found that employees in a 4-day model were 39% less stressed and 71% less burnt out compared to their 5-day workweek counterparts. This shift has proven to benefit organizations too with an average increase of more than 1% in profits. Shifting from a 5-day work week to a 4-day one isn't as easy as a flip of a switch, but the benefits may be worth the time it takes to plan the change appropriately. So, will we see more organization adapt the 4-day workweek model?
