It is well known that the pandemic has increased the rates of anxiety, depression, loneliness, burnout and stress. Unfortunately, the situation is bound to get worse as the pandemic continues. According to recent reports, 4 in 10 feel less resilient than they did before the pandemic began. However, reports also found that simple initiatives like employers being mindful about workload and work/life balance, flexible working hours, and providing time off for personal commitments and overall mental health could go a long way in improving their employees' wellbeing. While there is no 'one size fits all' approach, regular communication between employers and their employees is key in combatting the mental health crisis.
