CHC Wellbeing + Clients Receive Recognition from American Heart Association Workplace Health Achievement Index

The results of the 2018 Workplace Health Achievement Index were recently announced by the American Heart Association. CHC Wellbeing was recognized for taking significant steps to build a culture of health in the workplace. Several of our clients also received recognition.

The American Heart Association (AHA) created the Index with its CEO Roundtable members, a leadership collaborative of more than 40 CEOs from some of America’s largest companies who are committed to applying evidence-based approaches to improve their employees’ overall health. The Index uses science-based best practices to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of their workplace health programs. A unique feature of the Index is that it calculates an average heart health score for employees of participating companies that securely submit aggregate health data.

More than 1000 companies completed the Index assessment this year. Based on the assessment, CHC Wellbeing earned Silver level recognition. We also supported several clients in submitting their information to AHA and are proud to reveal that five of them achieved Silver or Bronze status. Specifically:

Silver Workplace Health Achievement Award   Bronze Workplace Health Achievement Award
Recognized at Silver Level   Recognized at Bronze Level
Saint Louis Art Museum
Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority
City of Jefferson
  American College of Healthcare Executives
Oak Lawn Park District

The Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index allows companies to measure the effectiveness of their workplace health programs as well as the overall heart health of their employees. Unlike other existing organizational scorecards, the Index also scores companies on the heart health of their employees based on Life’s Simple 7® – the Association’s scientifically validated definition of ideal heart health. The AHA’s Workplace Health Achievement Index assessment is grounded in data-driven science and a quality improvement framework.

Are you an employer who has the goal of qualifying for the next AHA Index? Are you a broker or consultant who is interested in helping your clients be recognized? As a value-add service, CHC Wellbeing helps our employer clients earn kudos from the AHA while helping their population achieve its true potential. We partner to build programs that qualify for recognition and support clients in the tracking and reporting of key data back to AHA. Contact us here to learn more.
