Last week our team was able to help our friends on Lower Wacker with an annual Thanksgiving dinner. A traditional Thanksgiving meal was provided to 52 individuals, along with some much-needed cold weather gear for the upcoming months. Boots, socks, coats, hats, and gloves are among the leading essentials for the unhoused community here in the Chicagoland area. These items go a long way in helping individuals stay warm and safe during the winter months ahead. In addition to handing out these essentials, we were able to have great conversation with our friends in the community and share in the thankfulness of the season.
A very special thank you to Guiding Light of Hope. Without the help from this organization, we would not have been able to host such a successful event and continue to help the unhoused throughout our community.
